Bernard Humphrey Hopkins Jr. is a 50 year old 6'1 MW SMW LHW Living Legend with a 55-6-2-2 32 KO's record. He is one of the Greatest Middleweights of all time, the oldest man in the history of the sport to win a title, then broke his own record. Born in Philly he was a mugger at the age of 13 and got stabbed 3 times, by 17 he went to jail for armed robbery, where he converted to Islam and discovered his love of Boxing, he was sentenced to 18 years behind bars he got out after 5. Vowing to never go back, he succeeded where many have failed, he's stay on the straight and narrow ever since. He started his career back in 1988 losing his first fight at LHW, came back a year and a half later to win 21 in a row, until he ran headlong into another legend in Roy Jones Jr.

BHop is as dirty a fighter as they come, there is no rule or regulation that he doesn't know how to stretch or bend to the absolute breaking point, yet he always gets away with it, because he's that damn good at it. As dirty as it is I find it quite amusing, nothing he does is very detrimental to the health of the opponent, he just does it enough to get the upper hand, at the right time all to benefit of his brilliantly befuddling masterful style. Some find it incredibly dull, and sometimes it is, although sometimes its a pleasure to watch this zenmaster weave his spell over opponents much younger and far less skilled than himself.
His resume is amazing its basically a who's who of the most important fighters in whatever division he finds himself in at the moment. So sit up and watch a Master at work, whether you like his style or not he deserves your respect. Now bow before the Executioner.:fire:fire:fire:fire

I think that he build his legend above MW. Ring magazine ranking him as the greatest MW of all time was mind-boggling.

Bernard was jobbed against Calzaghe for sure. Also twice against Jermain Taylor plus the draw with Pascal. For me Bernard only legitimately lost 2 fights Jones jr 1 & Chad Dawson II. WAR ALIEN!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

S'Okay for you to say. Kov. your stripes are on your sleeve.

No seriously, as a big Kovalev fan, my balls are shrinking the closer we come to fight day...

No. I ain't changing my pick, but hell, the more I remind myself of just how good B'Hops is at finding a way, the more I think Sergeis gonna have to show something extra special.

Hopkins rapid O/D switches are going to trouble Kovalev hugely. IMO Kovalevs gonna have to maintain range using his mobility to dart in and out on offense trying to deny Hops the chance to close... but by doing that he'll already be giving up part of his pressure game.

Seriously.. there ain't many fights these days I start to get anxious about, but goddamit that's what makes a fight special surely? CAN'T FUKKIN WAIT..:bbb
