    Marvin Nathaniel Hagler was Born on May 23, 1954 and was a lifer at Middleweight and a Southpaw. He made his pro debut at 18 years old in 1973 in a High School Gymnasium and by the time he retired in 1987 he had a 62-3-2 with 52 KO's record. He was born in Newark and grew up in Brockton, Mass. Not only was Hagler an MW ATG he had a ATG chin of granite only one time did he go down in a fight, against no surprise here an Argentine named Juan Roldan which was questionable. He retired after losing a SD to Sugar Ray Leonard, I wish he would have fought a little longer, I remember that match when it happened I was 7 but he got out at the right time and didn't descend into mediocrity as many Legends often do.     Hagler is overrated. He's the lowest rated of the Fab 4 for me ranking them
    Duran
    Leonard
    Hearns
    then Hagler

    ****, Bernard Hopkins is greater than him also. Don't get me wrong though, he's still a great fighter though. Just not as great as those guys

    Hagler was never KTFO though that should count for something, but I'll get to a thread on Duran and Leonard, I rate Leonard higher than Hagler then Duran then Hearns.

    Hagler beat every man he fought, in most people's books. That's more than can be said of Hopkins, Leonard, Duran or Hearns.

    Hagler clearly lost to Leonard imo. And how come fans never demanded Hagler to move up to "challenge" himself. The rest of those guys did. Hearns fought at damn cruiserweight. Littleass Leonard won a lightheavyweight title (catchweight though).

    I've never seen anything atg about Hagler

    His chin was never tested by a real puncher

    Chicken legs hearns was a good puncher for his size

    A Roy jones jnr knocks him out within 5 rounds

    Basically I think Hagler got what he deserved when an over the hill slow plodding Leonard schooled him

    i dont think he is overated but i do agree he ranks the lowest of the 4 for me aswell
