That joke Ward won't even fight overseas. Wonder why?! Like to see Billygoat The Ball Snatcher, Javon Prince, and the rest of his little entourage try pulling their **** in Kazakhstan or Russia
I agree, Canelo seems to have stamina issues. Against lesser fighter, it would be ok to lay back on the rope for a breather, and to be honest, he more than hold his own on the ropes but against GGG his lack of output cost him. He really could have won.
This ....Explains it all...fighting in 30 second bursts all through the Fight as Golovkin just kept coming forward....Had this fight had Creditible Judges we would not be having this argument surely Golovkins work Rate and relentless pressure win's Him the Fight...If not the game is in big Trouble.....and I agree if Canelo had applied more Pressure this Fight may have been a lot different...
Well I think some posters on here may have an agenda that supersedes fair play - but I will say - if I was a Russian or Eastern European fighter/champion - I would start putting pressure on my team to move the fights to either my hometown or neutral ground. Ward Kovalev 1 was a rip off. Canelo vs GGG was bad decision. Lomo vs Salido he didn't make weight and the ref basically let Salido repeatedly foul. The one time a major Russian fighter was going to have big fight at home he "pops" for legal level traces of meldonium - a drug in wide use until recently that even the agencies didn't know how long it takes to leave the system. I'm American and I'm starting to feel these guys are not getting the respect they deserve from the refs, promoters and judges. It's been a rash of controversy lately and they seem to constantly get the worst of it - Where there is smoke as the old saying goes-
and you'll have people on here defending the decision or pretending like this isn't a big problem in boxing
In June Ivan Golub was robbed blind vs Jamontay Clark and Denis Shafikov lost 120-118 on 2 of the judges cards when he fought Robert Easter in the main event on the same bill as Golub vs Clarke. Shafikov vs Easter was an extremely competitive fight and a lot of people actually had Shafikov either winning or at least deserving a draw. He didn't win a single round on 2 of the judges cards. Absolutely outrageous.
