I think Potevkin said after the fight that he is a huge Chris Byrd fan and it broke his heart to beat his idol

 

whys the baddie out of casion royal watching at ringside? has he not got a card game to rig

 

Surely seeing Byrd get battered by a crappy light heavyweight was worse?

 

Seeing Hearns get robbed vs Leonard in the 2nd fight still makes my heart break every time i watch the replay.
The way he also took it with quiet dignity... you could see him being so dissapointed but at the same time not surprised.

Marquez getting robbed vs Pac also made me feel like crap.
But yeah Byrd going down to LHW and getting destroyed felt worse than this.

 

When marquez got robbed it was a tear jerker. My grandma sayin "aye pobrecito, he looks so sad, he really won that fight." Funny thing is she said the same thing about ernie shavers before I was alive lol

 

every marquez-pacman fight makes me sad

 

i wished i didn't click play. i'm a big byrd fan. seeing his son console him was very touching. almost like the son played the role of dad. no doubt byrd raised his kids the right way.
