Joel Casamayor - Jose Armando Santa Cruz.

    Anyone agree? That was horrible.

I haven't seen the fight but I seem to remember espn named it the robbery of the year or something.
I'll have to add watching that fight to my to do list.

Now that was a sickening robbery.

    Honorable mention: Lara vs Williams.

Yea i couldn't believe casamayor won this fight. Those judges were blind or paid off. That was a one sided fight.

That was a horrible robbery. As someone who is a fan of Casamayor I admitted he lost.

That was on the undercard of Cotto-Mosley if I am not mistaken. Great night of boxing.

    Horrible decision, I felt ashamed.
But Casa was always getting the short end of the stick in close fights. After this fight he went to win FOTY against katsidis

Casa/Santa Cruz got a lot of coverage as a robbery when it happened. I saw it and was shocked at the official decision.

A recent robbery that gets overlooked is Campillo/Shumenov II. That was much worse than Campillo/Cloud.

I made so much VCash on that fight. I could have made alot of real cash but I wasnt gambling then...

I remember the odds were ridiculously in Katsidis favor. I always knew that Katsidis was made for Casa.

This board thought otherwise as well.

It was spoken of until everyone was blue in the face at the time.

There's only so long you can rail about a particular injustice in the sport, especially when it's followed by wave afer wave of equal or greater injustices.

That night - and the fact that the so-so JASC clearly ought to have won - is what made Casa's win over Katsidis such a shocker. Somehow after the Katisids win people forgot about the shot-to-****-indicating JASC performance and began to think he had enough left to trouble JMM and then Guerrero and then even Tim Bradley as recently as a few monthsd ago (although by then it was to all but the most naive fans a case of "fool me twice, won't get fooled again", to quote President Bush) even though the three of them are obviously a much higher class than Kats.

His last decent performance was against Marquez , the fight was very competitive until finally got KO.Casa was a warrior who manage to remain elite for a long time despite being surrounded by adversities.
It hurt seen him against Bradley just to build up Tim's career.

something important to consider...Casa just signed with GBP, Oscar probly has big plans for him and this was Casa's first fight for GBP.
