I have a Top 5 List and im happy with this. 1. Marvin Hagler (160) Martinez/ Geale/ Golovkin/ Williams/ Chavez Jr 2. Tommie Hearns (147) Mayweather/ Cotto/ Pacquiao/ Berto/ Alvarez (154) 3. Kostya Tszyu (140) Bradley/ Marquez/ Pacquiao/ Khan/ Peterson 4. Mike Tyson (HWT) Wlad/ Vitali/ Haye/ Povetkin/ Fury 5. Nigel Benn (168) Ward/ Bute/ Froch/ Kessler/ Dirrell
Shane Mosley - Mayweather second round aside, Mayweather's chin is good. Granted Hearns had bombs on the end of his arms (the punch on Hagler first round would have put most down, but Hagler's chin was granite). I agree (for the first time LM) that Hearns would clean up 147, 154, 160 though I don't know about 168. Wig:good
PTF Get hold of A Manly Art by George Kimball, a great great book. Apparently Kimball had some demons (drink, I think) which didn't do him any favours. Even so, but the book. Also, not by the same author, Hands of Stone - the Roberto Duran book is great. I'm not sure if you're UK based, if you are you can get these books cheap from Waterstones, if not, Amazon is good or eBay. Worth shelling out for on during these cold winter nights.
Tyso at Heavy so there could be some excitment in the division...and KTFO the Klits and Haye (especially Haye) Hearns at 147lbs so he could KTFO both Manny and Floyd. Chavez at 140lbs So he could beat the absolute living **** out of Khan...and anyone else at 140lbs for that matter. Arguello at 130lbs so he could make Broner **** his trunks with brutal body punches. Sanchez at 126lbs So he could school the hell out of Gamboa, and beat the **** out of Lopez. Gomez at 122lbs, so he could destroy both Donaire and Rigondeaux with ease.
Thomas hearns, he could rip trough welter all the way till cruiser with maybe 1/2 losses by a ko artist that got lucky, he would bring excitement and destruction from 147-175 the next 10 years, would have been great.
Thanks for the recommendation... I read benn's a few years back, he was wilder outside the ring than in it. Serious nut case....
