Wallace and Satterfeild were rated and were blown away in some style. Two great wins. If You are as good as your last fight you are a good fighter.

Not the first time. This debate is prime vs prime so I was talking about TYsons prime in his first reign. The first time Bruno fought Tyson the last rated fighter Bruno beat was Gerrie Coetzee ..andhow many years before Tyson was that? Try three whole years since beating a rated fighter! Bruno was also inactive for a year before fighting Tyson and his last fight was who? Old 1970s contender Joe Bugner.

Biggs never beat a curent rated fighter. He was #9 for being unbeaten. He was not coming off a win over a rated fighter.

yes! Tucker was a genuine contender who beat curent fighters with a rating..and how did that pan out? Was this a sensational knock out win for Tyson?

Douglas, Tucker, WIlliams and Smith were the best chalengers Tyson faced because they beat rated guys in their previous fights...and it was only Williams that Tyson knocked out.

A year and a half earlier...so he was unrated and no longer curent. did Tubbs beat the last rated fighter he fought? Did Tubbs beat a rated fighter in is last fight? It was in fact nearly three whole years since Tubbs last beat a rated fighter!

Williams was an excelent win. On paper this is a better win than Holmes, Thomas and Tubbs, I already said that. Those guys could not beat rated fighters anymore.

Again a year and a half earlier... How long before fighting Tyson had Thomas actualy beat a rated fighter though? Was it Mike Weaver? Was it way, way back in 1985? Was it about the time Mike Tyson turned professional?

Satterfield as not rated when Charles beat him and Wallace was only rated for a couple of months in his career. All but one of Tysons opponents that I named were in the top ten and none of them were 40years old.

In fact all of them were younger than Charles when he fought Marciano.

Tucker just fought to survive and we both know it.
Marciano made his name off the backs of old men that is a fact.
