The second fight with JT wasn't about safety first. Pavlik injured both hands. Safety first??? Does Kelly even have that in his DNA? Personally I think he's got a bit of Tommy Hearns in him: A tendency to go to war when he should be boxing wisely!
Would be a great way of promoting AA vs. Pavlik - trying to draw the parallels to Hagler and Hearns...they may even help to hype the fight by attending the press tour... :yep
Just how much of a can was Lockette? the guy was 31 and 1 with 21 KO'S why would they just feed him To Pavlik. I never saw the guy before but prior to the fight some were saying he was good and now afterwards they are saying he was nothing all along. I say He looked like a can against Pavlik, is that due to how good Pavlik is, or the fact Lockettes a can..You cant have it both ways.
It lasted 2 1/2 rounds only because Lockett took two knees in the second. For all practical purposes, Locket knew in the first he was done. His heart was gone buy the second but he took knees so he could stretch it.
i dont understand this obsession with early knockouts and the terrible logic that people use on ESB. Miranda knocked out David Banks in 3 rounds, David Banks beat Elving Ayala twice, Elvin Ayala almost lasted the distance againts Abraham, but Abraham knocked out Miranda in 4 rounds... HOW IS THAT POSSIBLE?? Surely the apocalypse is upon us.
Pavlik has been dropped a few times... Usually between 1 and 4.... Abraham's biggest victories by KO occur between 1 and 4... If McKart can get to his chin, Abraham will have little to no trouble touching that chin of his...
Mirandas power isnt in that class now.... No offense man, but you really dont know what you're talking about.. You gotta have a pretty good chin to take hits from a HARD PUNCHER LIKE MIRANDA, after your jaw is already broken..
I'll make it short . . . because Ayala did not came to fight and win. He went in there to survive by running all the time. :rofl
So he beat Eastman, and Elcock beat Eastman (Elcock got demolished by Arthur), and well Miranda got demolished now to. You know Hopkins won a UD over Eastman, does that mean he is no better than Miranda?
This poll reflects not who the best or most popular boxers were. It reflects only one thing: That there are more American fans on ESB than from any other country. Americans tend to cheer for americans and latinos (as a great deal of the US boxing fan market is hispanic).
Abraham is the real deal just as he proved when he demolished big mouth miranda ( so much for the ripped body ) & he & pavlik will make a great fight. The best 2 160lbers out there period!
I have to say that McKart is no slouch boxer, he has a long resume. He doesn't have the power of Abraham, but he does have the ability.
