One thing for sure about Clottey is that...

He can shoot that lead right hand at the drop of a hat. In fact he can lead with pretty much any punch and also has a solid jab and throws good combinations. You can knock him on his movement and ring generalship but his offensive arsenal is aces and his defense is solid.

not nuthugging. I pointed out his weaknesses and flaws as well.

Also, I recognize that Pacquiao has faced fighters who have poor right hands in his last 4 outings, which I why I'm pointing out that Clottey has an excellent right hand. Why bring in all your bull**** to this thread?

Also, fyi, here is one of my previous posts when Mosley vs Clottey was being discussed before Mosley vs Berto was made:

people who think I'm a ******* still don't get that I follow boxing through and through. Definately not just Pac.

Philla Did you pickup in the Cotto fight that he was once on the verge of quitting?

Also do you remember a pre-fight interview where he said he would quit if he was getting beat too badly?

looking forward to your answers on both these questions.

Yes, Clottey is an excellent fighter physically. It's just mentally he's got a glitch. One that tells him to take it easy at the worst possible times. It's his one flaw but it's a big flaw that's forced him to lose in two of his biggest fights.

I never heard that pre-fight interview and I never saw the Cotto fight on TV since I was there live at MSG and I didn't see Clottey trying to quit. I'm not saying it didn't happen though. If it did then of course its ok to put his heart into question something that could hurt him against Manny once the going gets tough.

I've never rated Clottey as an elite fighter. He doesn't move well enough, his workrate is too low, and his defense is solid upstairs but lacking in the midsection. However one of his talents is his offensive arsenal. He can through any punch in the book properly and also put them together well.

But he is definately a top5 WW. Either 4 or 5 depending on wether you place Cotto above or below him after Cotto's loss to Pac.

I have a hard time imagining how pacquiao can win if clottey just walks pacquiao down and uses like 40-55 jabs per round

Don't try racking your brains itrying to imagine a Pac victory. It won't happen. The Pac hype train is about to go down like the Towering Inferno at the hands of Black Frankenstein....

Clottey is going to put an asswhippin on Pac that will leave a lasting impression in the minds of fans everywhere. And a lasting dent in Bob Arum's pockets...

I disagree, the fact that Clottey has little movement and will be coming forward will play into pacquiao's hands. To beat pac you have good footwork and lateral movement. Hatton and cotto both came forward , used little movement and pac tore them a new ass hole.

They along with dela hoya thought they could just walk him down and over power him, it wont work pacquiao will unleash his combos and before clottey has time to set pacquiao will be out of reach.

The one thing that gives clottey a chance is his jab and defence , his other problem however is he doesnt throw enough punches.

they walked him down like dick heads with no defense...

clottey has that shell defense so he could come forward all he wants... pacquio won't be punching anything but gloves and elbows.... it would basically be like someone trying to shoot a tank with a machine gun... really wouldnt do ****
