a hw boxer who is only 6 and 0 but 5 are first round knock outs.22 year old southpaw.cuban born now lives in ireland.
this is my prediction for the next top heavy weight.
give him a couple of years and he will be up there.
    remember the name mike perez.

He has a style similar to Gamboa's (and wears cuban pants like him lol) I like his head movement but i worry about his having his hand down whilst boxing.

He has good combinations and speed, which is a deadly mix.

Hope to see him on tv soon.

yeah man i totally agree i seen him fight live twice in 08 and am really impressed by him
fast hands feet and head good power and nice footwork although i think he's too small for heavy only 6' foot and 220 pounds and seems kinda pudgy so i think he's better suited for the cruisers.

but never the less still a solid prospect

He's a poor man's version of Gamboa with way less talent but equally bad intentions. He doesn't belong to the HW division, that's pretty obvious. I had high hopes on Yoan Pablo Hernandez in CW, but then he lost to Braithwaite, so a crude talent like Perez might go further, but we'll have to wait and see.

Perez is fighting next Saturday againstb a Ukrainian heavyweight who is 15-2 with the only losses comming against Solis(KO1) and Taras Bidenko(MD) - a real good test in his 7th fight

Indeed. Awesome little fighter. Puts combinations together really well, hits hard, great speed, built like a brick **** house, works the body well, he can counter a bit, pretty aggressive, good left hand although he holds it low.
