It wouldn't surprise me Lenny was well in with the Gypsys back in the day. Lenny Mclean was Frank Warrens cousin , Warrens never got anything good to say about him though
I wouldnt really say its a lack of balls that let down big Audley, more a case of his tapping for points amateur style not working in the pros, & like an old dog that cant be taught new tricks, he turned pro too late to be able to change & adapt to the pro game IMO. Add to that hes got naturally poor stamina & was old when he turned pro, & there you have it, a recipe for disaster if ever there was one. IMO Aud is more in fear of his own lack of stamina than his opponents. He knows hes ****ed if hes forced to fight... hence the 'rabbit caught in the headlights' bulging eyes when hes fighting. Cos hes always thinking ahead, always worried about getting exhausted. Cos there is no lonelier plce than a boxing ring if a guy is on you & you dont have the energy to throw back, its what spurred Marciano to become the fighter he was after he found himself in a similar situation as a young man. Like I said at the start though, Audley is too old to adapt & change now though.
I like how active Fury is though! Three fights in three months and not against tomato cans either!! Nice work to his management team.
