For a small, short, short armed SOUTHPAW to have this sort of success is AMAZING.

Do you have any idea how hard it is to fight as an undersized southpaw?

 

a good percentage of Pacquiao's punches are simply blinding shots or set up shot not meant to land but to set up a crisp shot. What is more important is that in every single fight since he moved up he has landed the fight changing shot either as a counter or using the blinding set up. Could not be done without the so called "misses"

Connect percentage is not something he needs to worry about as his style is to overwhelm mixing up speed and power.

It is part of the puzzle that nobody has solved and not enough fighters use this technique to set up things offensively. Floyd was a sucker to the jab to the body from Shane as he is so defensive minded. Manny with his variety of attacks would have a field day expanding on what WW's like Judah and Mosley did for more than they should have been able to.

Against Manny or a Tszu Floyd would be a one trick pony as those power punchers (more Manny) are cut from a different cloth. When Floyd counters or jabs even going backwards to keep him away almost every single fighter would retreat to reset. Manny would not. The few pure power guys floyd coincidently has not faced would not react or be deterred by a single shot.
They will keep coming at different angles and Floyd would be backed up like vs Castillo.

The best success with Manny so far is JMM who is a great combination puncher. With Manny you need to fight fire with fire. if Floyd also had better power and didn't show the moments of sloppiness in his defense I would give Floyd the edge. There is no room for error on defense and the two best WW's Judah and Shane each had moments that indicate the best offensive fighter will have his.
