The Mexican slugger, whose inactivity-pocked and mostly unheralded career took a tumultuous roller coaster turn this past winter, blowing out highly touted prospect Jorge Linares in October before getting beaten up and stopped by Takashi Uchiyama a mere three months later, has put himself back in the win column with a fourth round TKO victory at home over durable journeyman Guadalupe Rosales.

Don't get too excited though - the stoppage was due to a knee injury sustained by Rosales, not Salgado's punching power.

Hopefully the four rounds completed show up on Youtube.

I'm really hoping to see if Salgado's power turns out to be legit, or if that fateful night in Japan was a matter of Linares getting caught cold (or indeed, just having subpar resistance). Uchiyama controlled their fight and is teak-tough, so he didn't answer the question - and unfortunately, it seems neither has Rosales.

All his knockouts are over questionable opposition, while his decision wins are over hardy warriors (Licona, Valle, Favela)...

Salgado is true one hit wonder. I wanna see him against Roman Martinez or Carlos Velasquez.
