One year anniversary of Lomachenko vs Rigondeaux

It's not just a "skill difference between them." As that fight and others have shown, outboxing Lomachenko from the outside seems incredibly difficult. A much smaller man will not be able to do it. Rigo doesn't ever pressure and he never throws wide bombs coming forward or countering, not that that is a successful strategy against Lomachenko either, so it seems his only possible route through pressure from the body frame plus weight difference were never a possibility. I picked Lomachenko to win but I def didn't put it at the 90/10 that retrospect shows I should have.

 

For me I really enjoyed the fight. Not because of Loma, but because I've never been a believer in Rigo and have despised his style for years.

 

It was a master class!
