Does anyone have any opinions on Online Authentics? Is it only certain boxers who are linked to this, Ali / Tyson or is it widespraed?

Does anything that has an Online Authentics number mean it is legit or can this still be dodgy? Or is it better to go through a reputable company and one that shoes pictures of the actual signing as the Online Authentics gloves seem to charge a premium.

What what i have read on the other threads www.boxing-memorabilia.com and www.champsuk.com have a good reputation.

Has anyone had any dealings www.thewrightmemorabilia.com ?

    Cheers

On-Line are owned by a sports management company & are not just exculsivly for Ali/Tyson, thats just a marketing tool, they'll take your $$$$$ to authenticate yer cats **** if they could verify that said **** came from your cats bum LOL

The certs are fine, just log onto whoever the cert is issued by & the general info will be available on-line stating what the cert was for, photo, glove, poster.

On-Line authentics are very very pricey, i'll accept there certs but i'd never use them to authenticate. They photo all items that has a cert issued.

There's 4 authentication companies out there stateside.

    On-Line Authentics.
    Global Authentics..GA certification.
    James Spence Authentication
    PSA/DNA certification.

    http://globalauthentics.com/certcheck/vintage.asp?c=586280
    http://www.psacard.com/
    http://www.spenceloa.com/

These are the main 4 that ebay recognise, but they are not infallible.

I accept them all & i actually use Global Authentics in California who give me the best deal on all my gloves & posters i ship back over to them for the GA sticker & matching cert. On my Ali & Foreman gloves i paid for the picture to be put online & at double the cost + Letter of Authentication. But in the main i use the bulk certification process were i'll have the company sticker put on the glove or poster/photo with the matching serial numbered cert which is loaded up onto the GA website & all you do is log on for verification to match the number on your cert with whats on-line.

Boxing-Memorabilia is a top outfit but he's packing it all in as his wife's very poorly & Champs are also OK but they'll not send anything over too the states too get authenticated & issue there own COA's.

Dave Wright at the wright memorabilia is a top man also.

An authentication company is only an opinion, there's no legal back up, it's the credibility of the company selling + a certificate Or LOA from one of the above 4 authentication companies ought to be more than enough to sooth the nerves of the most paranoid.

I'am the only boxing memorabilia outfit in the UK that provides certification from all of the above authenticaters, every glove/photo/poster on our site has passed authentication or is in the process of being authenticated by a 3rd party as named above. No other UK outfit will incur the cost & do this, only KOfightposters.com & thats why we've just sold £4K's worth of gloves this last week to one customer & that was all due to the fact that they all had the Global Authentics LLC, numbered matching sticker & matching numbered cert.

Due to recent corrupt practises by 2 major New Jersey memorabilia companies i'll never except a photgraph of any signing as positive proof, if i purchase any item it's automaticly shipped over to the states for 3rd party authentication. But your legal rights are all down to the LOA you get from the dealer you purchased your item from. Now i'd expect anyone to expect any item bought to have one of the above 4 companies certs & this will also help in any insurence accessment.
