Canelo is fading but he has good ring IQ and has excellent punch selection

    He has perfected his style and perfected his technique since the Callum Smith fight. However we did see glimpses of it in the Kovalev fight too;

    Low output
    Load up on power shots
Select carefully between body and head
    Pressure
    Stay in pocket
    Stay low

This works 90% against the lower A to B level fighters he has faced but against elite champions he would struggle.

Beterbiev - violently gets KOd. That small pumped up body of Canelo wouldn't be able to take the power and that famous chin would be cracked. Avoid avoid avoid.

Bivol - wide UD for Bivol all over again.

Benavidez - closer put Benavidez takes it.

Interested to see how PBC match Canelo.

Beterbiev with his rabbit punches might put Canelo on his ass...maybe. Bivol whoops his ass again, and Benevidez is a true 50/50 fight.

Bivol next on the back of his best performance in a while should be the fight imo

Bivol would win the fight again at 175lbs, and as for their fight at 168lbs (a weight class Bivol has never fought in as a pro) - IMO Canelo would win.

Unless there was a rehydration clause against Bivol then yes.

However Bivol is not that big as a LHW either.

Also, Canelo avoided the rematch at 168lbs

Personally I believe Bivol has Canelo's number

Beterbiev won't need rabbit punches to put Canelo on his ass.

Pick any shot from here that belongs to Beterbiev. He naturally hits too hard.

That neck of Canelo will absorb those type of shots. It's the rabbit punches I'm worried about.

I would favour Canelo over Benavidez.

But he loses badly against either of Beterbiev or Bivol.

This is HW power in a compact package. It's hard to see Canelo surviving.

Too bad it will never happen

For a while I had hopes it would but happen but Bivol killed it.

    Canelo should leave 175 alone.

Agree on Beterbiev and Bivol but Benavidez?

I'm not sold on Benavidez yet, beating Caleb Plant doesn't prove he's on Canelo's level. But he is far more of a threat than either Charlo.

His high guard isn't as good as Bivol's, not even close and I see Canelo having success to the body against him. Benavidez will also walk to Canelo and allow Canelo do what he does best which is counter punch. Benavidez is going to need to take plenty of hard counters with his style to take the fight deep and wear down Canelo and I'm not sure he can take that much punishment in the first half and be fresh enough to turn the fight his way in the second half.

Bud has a better chance of beat Canelo than Benavidez in my opinion, due to styles.

Bivol said he would come down to 168 for the winner of Canelo-Charlo. But Canelo ain't gonna sign the contract.
