only 30 KOs in 106 fights, how do you rate Jake LaMottas power?

I could see LaMotta beating GGG or Toney on any given day. Jones is too fast for anyone. Hopkins? Hard to say.

I think LaMotta could have beat Jones and Toney but Roy was far more powerful than Jake, his power was closer to Toney`s but James also punched harder than Jake.

Jake LaMotta could land telling blows throughout a bout even if he wasn't the hardest puncher in the world. As pointed out by a number of other posters on this thread, LaMotta was fight good opposition on a very consistent basis, which is likely to result in a lower knockout percentage. For example, he fought Sugar Ray Robinson six times and Fritzie Zivic four times. During their careers, Robbie was stopped only once in two hundred bouts while Zivic was stopped four times in 232 bouts.

No way LaMotta goes 0 and 5 here …. Probably best body puncher on this list, probably toughest on this list .. you're not giving him enough credit imo … SRR is 10/10 in the power dept and couldn't floor him .. You think all these guys can go 15 with LaMotta and get the win … not me

Robinson was a blown up welter past 30 and he ripped Jake up. Who on the list does Jake beat ? I pick any of these guys over him cleanly. Maybe a flat version of Toney ? I’m not saying it would be easy

I like Jake but feel quite a few middles in his own day we’re better. Robinson for sure. Marshall was better. Burley would have beaten him. Archie Moore at 160 would have beaten him. Jake was a warrior with a huge heart. He’d fight anyone and had skills. I just don’t see him as the best of the best. A class below but we’re talking about the all, time toughest weight class. He was still a hell of a fighter.

You probably think just about anyone could beat Jones going on your recent form Mark.
