Outside America is good enough too. Bradley-Holt sold between 7 and 8K seats in Montreal.

15000...that sucks.....if they just did 5 dollar general admission...they would draw interest to the VIP seats cause it would be an event. They would pack in 350,000+ worth of tickets, a chunk of vending, and a full 20 dollar or so per car parking lot.

15,000 people is underutilizing the stadium. Trying to pack it at 5 bucks a head to set a new record would have brought them everything...Don King is slipping but I am willing to help...somebody hook us up.

Oh yea no doubt. Anywhere outside the U.S. it would do damn good numbers. Throw it up in Montreal, Denmark, the U.K., Germany, etc. they are real boxing fans and would gobble up those tickets in a heartbeat. It's a damn shame how embarrassing the U.S. is.

They should have put the Native American Headdress from the village people on Mitchell. And a couple rainbows in the background. They would sell out in the Bay Area of Cali.

If i am right that is pretty much how the greatest promoter ever Mike Jacobs got into the boxing business.

He was a scalper and pretty much he was able to buy a chunk of tickets i think he started out at broadway shows then sold them at better prices than that of the box office obviously the skill in this business was knowing what would sell.

For the Dempsey Carpentier fight he paid $20 000 for a chunk of ringisde seats fromt he promoter Tex Rickard and was rumoured to have made 10 times that because of the demand for the fight.

Damn, I wish they would do something. It's a shame for such a great fight to go to waste. I'm sure they could impress 15k if they sold it.

It takes the right person to connects the dots....but when he does, the reward is handsome. With a stakeholder approach, everybody could come out winners.

Hometown fighter? Flint is not Detroit. They are about an hour apart from eachother. Is Manchester London limey ****head?

And the UFC. Were those all hometown fighters aswell clown?

The point is you limey piece of ****. Its not the venue, its not the promotion, its the fighters. Clearly Detroit can turn out a crowd if people actually care to see the attraction.

Oh and instead of holding it at the Joe. they hold it the Silverdome. Last time I was there 6 years ago it was a run down piece of **** with water leaking everywhere. Hate to see it now.

This is what a guy like Arum could use to say that certain fighters even though they are skilled are not marketable and dont bring any money to the table.

I won't be surprised if suddenly one of them (Bradley or Devon) will suddenly get "injured" and they have to cancel the fight.

Hate to agree with you but you are actually right. Back in the day detriot was very popular mostly in the 80's. Even though it's fake but wrestlemania 3 host in poniac silverdome in which it host over 93,000 fans.

They should have fought in St. Louis. Dev has more fans than Amir Khan in St. Louis.
