    Four factors explains this.

1- Tickets are too expensive. The cheapest seats are well over 100$.

2- The month of august is pretty much the worst month of the year to put on a boxing card in Montreal.

    3- The undercard is shiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiit.

4- Pascal just isn't that popular.

I'll probably buy a ticket before the week is over. Number 6001 baby! :silly

Damn I thought Pascal was a big draw in MTL? Damn fight might as well have been in the US.

That sucks. Bell Centre is huge too; HBO will have a tough time making it look full.

Bute/Dawson will have a much better turnout I'm sure.

Dude, Dawson can't even sell half of that in his home town.

But seriously, reasons #1 and #2 Maxime stated are pretty much why.

Also, Montrealers have the habit of buying their tickets at the last minute so it could go up to 7 or 8 thousands. I don't expect much more though.

For Dawson that would be seriously impressive

Cheapest tickets at $100?! That's madness.

Bute will probably sell twice as much tickets for the Brinkley fight.

    Sad but true.

Make that 6002, I just bought 2 great seats in the reds, the damage $470.00 well worth it to see Pascal get schooled by Dawson!!

Maybe but last time there was 13,000 for Bute - Miranda, in april, wich is a much better month to sell a fight and Brinkley is ****ing terrible and a complete unknown.

They may sell more, there are alot of last minute impulse buyers, the tickets are a little steep for a mid-month scheduled fight. If they did it closer to the beginning of the month (Where majority of the people get paid) they would fair a little better, or start ticket sales, closer to that date.

Pascal never was a huge draw, at least not as huge as Bute, and Dawson himself is not the first buying ticket fans would have in mind...

This is why they were trying to woo Lemiuex into fighting on the undercard. He alone could have convinced 10,000 to show up. However, they blew their money and didn't have enough to interest him, so David will beat the crap out of a nobody on ESPN2 two weeks from now instead.

tickets are redonkulously overpriced if they're starting at 100.00 though

that is not how you get people into boxing, dumbasses
