this was said in the Sun newspaper today was thinking it would have been more like 10,000 msg are expecting a big turn out at the gate on the night and might do special deals on tickets, arena might only be half full
Fwank the source I presume. 7,000 who won't be wasting their money like they did it the MEN a couple of months ago.
pretty sure it wasnt his column, i dont pay much attention to his opinions or comments especially in relation to former fighters of his that have seeked greener pastures and obviously suceeded
bunce was saying a couple of days ago that the promotion has worked well as they bumped up sales from 7,500 to 13,000.... we'll have to wait and see
warren said he could have got Calzaghe a better deal but then he would have taken a cut out of that deal
yeah i remember bunce saying this and re checked the paper to find it was actually yesterdays paper, so thursdays news maybe bunce was right he show was friday when he said this
Warrens article was laughable. I could feel the tears coming off the page. I think his worried, that he doesnt have any established star and it doesnt look like he is going to get one anytime soon...:good
that 2 page spread was warren, yeah im delighted for him ill always remember his face at ringside when khan got dropped
When Kahn got sparked someone on here commented on the look and Franks face and referred to him as a 'fish eyed ****' I nearly wet meself laughing
The way i see the self promotion,Calzaghe is thinking " Ok maybe he could of got me an extra 3 million, ****it, least i aint making him 3million too!" Dunno just how i see it and fair play Hairy:bbb
The sun giving Warren a 2 page spread to slag off a former fighter of his and then having less then a page about the fight from a neutral point of view stinks.
Yep I was pretty gutted with the Suns coverage and todays papers in general. Hopefully the fight may get a decent spread tomorrow.
I remember after Haye-Enzo nearly all the papers didn't report the fight the next day. Those that did just had a small paragraph or two. I bet if Macca had won Wazza would have made sure every one knew about it.
