Only a casual boxing fan would rank Sanchez and Chavez over Marquez

Sanhez is great, but its more like what could have he done, but ranks so high because of what he did do in such a short time


but I could still see it argued that a 5 Time World Champ MARQUEZ is number 2 in Mexico only behing the great JCC.

Marquez wasn't fighting bums either, all his comp has been top ranked opponents and even is losses most score them for marquez....


Addie makes a great post on why Marquez should be number 2 the other greats are great.. but none can match his

Longevity, Skills, Top Ranked opponents in each 5 divisions, top P4P ranked for over a decade...

Not many can touch that

Marquez was number 2 IMO before this PAC KTFO, now it just solidifies it, with a bradley win and official 5th title there should be no one arguing over him being second but arguing if he should be first

 

Chavez is #1, this is'nt even debateable imo.

A great case can be made for Marquez being right behind him at #2.

I'd say the Lockridge, Rosario and Taylor that Chavez beat were all better than 2011-12 Pacquiao as well.

The biggest 'threat' to Chavez's legacy as Mexico's Greatest Fighter died before Sr picked up his first notable win. That is a fight that could've very well been made between them circa '84-85 with Chava going to 130 (or more daunting, 135)
