Looks like an unorthodox sneak uppercut to me. I guess the slow-mo makes the look less like an uppercut.

Upon further looking it does look more like a unorthodox right hand. Moore's glove almost being titled upward along with Rocky moving forward makes it appear like one in full-speed.

What's the point though? I guess the name is fitting... always like to be a stickler about semantics and facts when correcting people. Don't worry, it's not annoying. :D

I would've called it an uppercut too.

It doesn't really matter I guess.

Either way, Rocky wasnt really talking literally. His point was that real artists don't get hit with the right hand lead, and these two certainly were that, and so they were restricting one another to left hand leads.

Yeah, I said it doesn't matter what it's called in my last post.
I was just a bit surprised it was being remembered as an uppercut. I've always thought of an uppercut and a punch driving upward through the chin, rather than downward (which Moore's does on impact). No biggie.

    :D

I think it's more of a mantra or a maxim rather than to be taken literally. Of course, all fighters get hit with rights. Every fight. Rocky sure did.
