Only Adamek and Dawson left for Hopkins

Now that the Jones megafight has been foiled, Hopkins is down to only a few realistic options.

First of all, let me express my belief that a David Haye fight will not happen. Haye is too big a man and too strong an athlete for Hopkins to attempt to tackle at his age. There is no chance that Hopkins decides to face Haye, and if he does, I think huge props are due to Hopkins for even signing that fight.

Danny Green, who KOed Jones Jr, is another fight that will not happen. While Green is a very winnable fight for Hopkins, Hopkins will rightly state that Green does not have a big enough name and big enough credentials outside of Austrailia to share a ring with him.

    So who does that leave?

Ring mag/IBF Cruiserweight champ Adamek is one possibility. Adamek's camp did everything they could to make this fight happen, and in the end it was Hopkins who turned the fight down to face Jones Jr. Now that Jones is out of the picture, there is once again a chance for this fight to get made. It would be a good financial fight for Hopkins, and at the same time realistically winnable for him.

WBC Lightheavyweight champ Dawson is the other option. Dawson is a fast young fighter, the kind Hopkins has struggled with in the past. He does however fight at a weight closer to B-Hop. This fight is also winnable if Hopkins resorts to roughhouse tactics and infighting, but Dawsons speed figures to give him a big edge. Dawson is not a very big draw however, so that will give Hopkins pause in the negotiations to come.

A final possibility is a Paul Williams fight. I really do not see this happening after Williams' camp watched what Hopkins did to Pavlik, another lighter fighter moving up. If the money is right however, one can never say never...

Hopkins can go **** off. Dude acts like he's doing everyone a favor by picking a fight that is good for him. This guy is too uknown.. this guy doesnt bring enough money in, this guy doesnt have a good enough rep to be in the same ring as me.. etc. etc.

    Fight or go HOME.

    I really doubt it.

Though now that Hopkins has spoken, it looks like he still wants RJJ! Unbelieveable! :patsch

I would still like to see Hopkins/Jones fight.

Hopkins would beat Haye. There is a reason for such.

Why would you want to watch Hopkins Roy now?

And please explain how in the universe Hopkins could possibly beat Haye?

Same here. Hopkins should fight guys his own age like Jones or Toney.

Haye would destroy him. That would be a HORRIBLE fight for Hopkins to take. He doesn't have the power to take advantage of Haye's chief weakness, and he doesn't have the size or power to keep him off of him. That fight should NEVER happen.

At age 45 it wouldn't be a good idea for Hopkins to move up to heavyweight, it's just way to risky.

It's insane. He should just fight Jones and call it a career before he gets beaten up.

BHOP VS Green in AUST would be a great fight and huge $$$$ for both guys.

If the have the fight in Melbourne they will get 40,000 fans through the gate.
