I keep hearing *******s and other morons, saying "40 million and no PPV, thats not fair" The hell it isn't. If you fail to grasp that then you don't even understand fundamental economics.

Mayweather is not getting that 40million from off of a tree, its coming out of his own pocket. That means by giving Pac a guaranteed 40mil, he's going to be 40 million in the red and giving Pac the biggest payday of this career.

May-De La Hoya produced 72million in revenue to split between the fighters. So let's say that this fight does 100million in revenue. Yes Mayweather, keeps the whole 100million, but remember he already came out of his pocket to give PAC 40million. That means that Mayweather's actual profit from the fight would be 60 million which essentially works itself out to a 60/40 split which is more than fair considering that Mayweather generates more revenue than Pacquiao.

So please stop acting like 40millions guranteed is unfair because Mayweather will have to recoup that money from the PPV revenue so essentially Pac is getting his percentage just on the fromt end. Regardless 40million is far more money for a fight then he has ever made and he should be grateful to Floyd for being so generous as to offer that, tell Arum to stop avoiding the fight, and sign.

After Marquez and Bradley, Pac won't get 40 mil.

He'll get £2 and a mars bar, and be greatful.

There's nothing to deny. By giving Pac 40million guaranteed, he;s giving Pac his share of the PPV beforehand and taking the risk that the fight will generate enough money for him to get paid hansomely as well. Floyd is taking all of the risks

    :yep
Say for instance that by this point the PPV sales do not shatter all records, Floyd COULD end up in the red, while Pac's 40 mil is guaranteed no matter what.

Why is there still demand for Paccy-Mayweather?
Pacman is past his prime and his boxing style isn't exactly good for his health, he declines faster than floyd does.

Everyday Mayweather his his power over Paccy (in a h2h situation) grows, each day.
They ducked eachother and prevented a wonderful fight.

Manny doesn't have the body for his style anymore, and floyd is only growing in skills (for his style)

good points. If Pac gets 40 million, Floyd is only going to get between 50-60 million dollars anyways. I doubt the fight generates enough money for them both to get these 70 million dollar paydays everybody assumes
