Yes, well GSP isn't likely to play the role of punching bag like Sherk did - especially knowing that he can actually take Penn to the mat.

 

That annoyed me a bit how he waved the fight off for the ref. I mean, don't get me wrong, if SHerk had of made it into the second round he would have more than likely been screwed anyway, he was on the decline- but I just don't agree with fighters stopping the fight themselves, it's up to the ref.

P.S Penn was ****ing incredible- I'd love to see a cardio-fit Penn fight GSP soon!

 

Ah... it's no different than a boxer turning to the ref and giving him the "He's done" look. Penn just didn't see the need to pound Sherk anymore for an outcome that was already settled. I applaud it.

 

Well you need to! Its usually a good indication as to who`s winning the fight!!

 

I agree with that any other time- but because the bell had gone, I think Sherk at least deserved the chance to see out the mid-round break and try to come back. A few minutes can make all the difference... Then again Penn probably just would've KTFO again.:!:

Same thing here. I didn't notice Sherk until BJ ran back over to wipe him and lick whatever it was he was licking off Sherk's face.... or whatever Penn was doing. :conf

 

The blood he was licking off Sherk's face- It'll be interesting if Penn tests positive for Nandralone in the next few weeks after sampling Sherk's blood :think

I would like to see that in a practice for fun, if GSP would be able to put Liddell on his back with his great explosion!
