Only Calzaghe fans believe Kessler is a P4P star.

    There are people on this board who believe Mikkel Kessler is one of the top pound for pound fighters in the sport. What do all of these people have in common?


    They are all Calzaghe fans.


    Why is this? One reason might be it suits their pro-Calzaghe agender. Hyping up Kessler will make Calzaghe's victory look better and enchance apparently flimsy resume. Some kind of 'circle-jerk' to enchance both fighters reputation.

    But that isn't the real reason why everyone who rates Calzaghe happens to be a Calzaghe fan.

    The real reason is - Mikkel Kessler is indeed the complete fighter left in the sport and has the strongest case of any fighter for that pound for pound number one spot.

    But why is it all the people believing this are Calzaghe fans? Well anyone who realises Kessler is the best fighter in the sport really knows boxing.

    And anyone who really knows boxing is a Calzaghe fan.

    It is nothing at all to do with agenders, just superior insight.

    So far it looks like Sauerland will stage the Perdomo (sp?) fight before the tournament.

    From what I read in the Danish papers he wants to make that fight really soon.

    It would shake off the cobwebs too.

    Sounds like a good idea. He hasn't fought in a while and it would do him well to get a few rounds in before he faces someone like Ward.

    I always liked Kessler and i liked the way he looked in his losing fight against Joe but i always call into question when people put a fighter on a higher up scale based on a loss.Dont get me wrong kessler is a hell of a good fighter and beating him was great for Joe and i wish nothing but the best for Kessler as he seems like a great guy and a great sportsman.

    To be fair, anyone who knows boxing knows Kessler is for real by looking at his fights.

    He's gonna tear up the SMW tournament, mark my words.

    This thread is really more about a Calzaghe and/or Kessler hater than
    Calzaghe and/or Kessler fans.

    So funny.

    I guess there is not many Calzaghe's fan on ESB since i dont recall seeing much people saying Kessler is p4p stuff.

    Calzaghe and Kessler were/are pretty good fighters. Pointless thread and i just waisted 2 minutes. I'm dumb sometimes too.
