Don't know if he's gonna tear the tournament (and i still don't even believe there will be a tournament) but i'm pretty confident he would beat Froch.

During Calzaghes reign as Supermiddle there has not been ONE P4P calibre fighter (THATS 12 years) that tells u how poor the division has been for so long. Kessler was the last challenge of a bad bunch.

First his record:

Secon in regards to JCC fight:
- JCC totally dismantled and embarrassed, if not out right ruined Jeff Lacey.
Jermain Taylor, which most people here hold with high regards, even after hiss loss to Froch, had a much harder time against Lacey. While Kessler held his own with JCC.

one of the, if not THE, greatest ever showdowns in boxing history. (The SMW Toruney) Albeit IF it goes down. But everything looks good to go.
Specially since it isn't a single eliminator tourney. I think they should have included at least 3 other fighters into the mix though. But still, wouldn't this put the victor at the top of the ALL TIME SMW?

He is for real of course, but I just dont think he is as good as some think. In the Calzaghe fight he showed he really has no plan B. But he is on par with the other top guys at super middle and I dont think he is that much better. He is just one of those fighters that good but not great all around.

 

Amazing that Kessler gets so much credit for losing a WIDE pts decision to JOE and Hopkins gets slagged of for losing a SD when he was 43 past his prime ...ROFL
