I think Pretty Boy Floyd could be one of the greatest. Most people are saying he will become one of the greatest if he fights so and so, and then so and so after that. There are some threads including one I myself posted asking how can anyone beat Floyd (that is, by what technique). The answers to that thread, though people were brave enough to try and answer, left one thing clear, no one knew. The sad thing is that Floyd might not be beat by another boxer. What might prevent him from becoming an ATG is the inability to continue fighting challengers to his title(s) because of the breakdown of his body, in particular his hands. I think this is why he continues to talk about retirement. In ten years his hands might be that of an elderly man with severe arthritis. He might not be able to use them at all in twenty years. When he said "my body is tearing down" on 24/7 I thought that retirement is best for him even if he leaves unanswered questions as to his legacy. The health of our boxers is what is most important.
Floyd's hands have been breaking down for years. It is a well known fact. I don't think all those years of faking fragile hands was for mind games.
