It's not small fighters per say, it's fighters who would push Floyd to the full, that he seems to conveniently ignore.

Everyone knows he was another animal in the lower weight classes. But he's been at this 147 division for how long now? And how many top fighters has he faced? How is it that Margo, Cotto, Mosley, ALL have failed to get him in to the ring?

floyd up until 147 fought a wealth of fighters who were bigger than him. maybe not all elite but that's not the point. corrales and n'dou were both bigger, judah was at least the same size as was gatti (rip). At 147 he faced baldomir who was MUCH bigger and then fought two smaller guys. Before welter, his resume was stellar. He's still got time to bring his welter resume up to par, don't worry

Are you kidding? Do you watch boxing? Do you follow timelines?

Margo called him out for LESS money and NO BELT before the fight with Baldo for MORE money and A BELT. And you are talking about the same Margarito who barely got past Clottey and lost to Williams right after Clottey fight? During that late 2006 early 2007 time period, yes you are!

Mosley called Mayweather out AFTER he beat Margarito AND he had been ducking Mayweather for YEARS. Mosley can't even fill a stadium in his home state!

What planet are you haters watching boxing on?

i'm with you but neither mosley nor floyd ducked the other. it didn't make sense for either one to fight the other when they were calling the other out. i love both and i'll say mosley never ducked ANYONE

He's been at 147 for 4 fights. 2 of those fights were against champions. Margo is a cheater, Cotto said he was too green. and Mosley ducked him.

He was a WW for 4 damn fights!!!! He went UP to 150 to fight DLH. He came back down to fight the "hot" name at the time, Ricky Hatton. After that he retired.

They all failed to get him in the ring for two reasons.

    01. Bob Arum - Margo, Cotto
    02. Previous ducking - Mosely

I can agree with you there. Mosely used to be a stand up dude in my opinion. I still don't like his approach lately or people's accusations against FMJ due to Mosley's approach.

I don't count what Mosely did as a duck as much as an ignoring of a youngin' trying to come up on his back. I can understand what Mosely did/didn't do. OK, when the dangerous youngin' needed a big fight you acted like he didn't exist. Happens all of the time.

However now you have to look at it from FMJ's perspective. "When I needed a money fight where were you? Now I am the money fight you want me to jump at your command? Hell no. You will fight if and when I say for how much I let you make." Point blank.

    Come on guys.

that's what i think it is to. the shitty thing is that mosley seems to have just fought at his welterweight peak performance, he's as famous as he's ever been or ever would be (baring the time between DLH and Forrest [rip]). this fight makes the most sense NOW and i just want to see it happen. but you're right than for no other reason than floyd thinks he can beat anyone (IMO)...deep down he is sure he can beat mosley (i think anyway). He doesn't duck but he does dick around

True, Oscar and Mosley has been calling him out too before. Why pick the smaller guy? Not to mention, asking him to blow up to 144.

Man I agree with you on all points. I really think Mosely has gone about this oh so wrong. Had he come into it humble on his rise after Margarito the fight would have made perfect sense. Even in the context of the past. Instead he played to FMJ's biggest peeve, perceived ducking. I think that is going to cost him an amazing payday.

Mosely's problem is that he is too good, experienced, and weakness free for his own good. Yeah you screw yourself out of the Mayweather fight... What is left? Nothing.
