    what other careers spring to mind when you think "damn...if only he would have..."???? and don't use tyson b/c i'm referring to in the ring "only ifs" :deal

    If only Judah had waited a few seconds before getting up against Kostya Tzsyu.....

    In fact, **** that. Watching his chicken dance was hilarious. I wouldn't replace that moment with anything.

    yeah man that is a very famous "only if"...

    and i remember needing to pick my jaw off the floor b/c mosely refused to pull the trigger against mayweather after he stunned him. he just sat there in front of him shaking his hands when he backed mayweather up.

    "Only IF" Gerald McClellan's fight Vs. Benn would have been stopped earlier.

    "Only IF" De La Hoya could have got his victory against both Trinidad & Mosley II
    (They we can give Sturm his MW win back)

    "Only IF" The Seldon Vs. Tyson fight would have been cancelled... 2Pac lives!

    Shane didn't have it anymore in him to put him away. Mosley was a great finisher in his time and was faster at lw and even when he first moved up to ww. Those versions of Shane had a much better chance of finishing Mayweather. I still don't think Mayweather gets enough credit for standing right in front of Shane the rest of the fight and still being able to beat him up. I got another one, "Only if Jones didn't get caught in Tarver 2". I wonder how that fight would've played out.

    I think Tarver would still have won. After the first fight, he was aware that Roy wasn't himself so he no longer feared throwing big shots or engaging him. Tarver had a mental edge over Roy, and this showed in the third fight.

    True. Jones was still faster than Tarver though he was still declining in the speed department. Maybe he could've eeked out another close decision but I agree that Tarver most likely would've still won.

    i suppose you could also use the "only if ____ fight would have happened on neutral gound or on the other guys home turf, etc"

    If Ottke fought much outside of his own territory, he'd have simply employed his own natural freakish punching power to knock people out Mundine style. The only reason why he didn't have more knockouts is he is just really, really nice.
