    ...only Johansson of all the HW champs never fought a fighter with a losing record but somebody might be about to surpass him...answer anyone.
    ps I think it's a real measure of a prospect;- hype or the real thing.

    ...he fought so few fighters before he won the title and only a few afterwards...he got there fast, based on his kayo of eddie machen. so i think it's a small claim..but hey...it's technically legit.

    Solis wasn´t a champ yet though.

    It´s difficult with the pioneers I agree. Fitzsimmons claimed to had have more than 300 fights yet we only do know about a fifth of that. I´m pretty sure the same is true for Jeffries, Corbett and many others.

    was going to say kostya tzyzu but he fought one fighter with a losing record early on in his career
