I ,held two distinctions in boxing. I was the only man to ko a great fighter. I, was also a substitute in another equally famous event...I coukld punch... Who am I ?
Johnny , no it was not Ruby Goldstein ,who kod Jimmy Mclarnin, it was Ray Miller who stopped McLarnin in 1928, for Jimmy's only ko loss, and it was Ray Miller who substituted for Ruby Goldstein as ref ,in the Robinson / Maxim bout in 1952. P.S. Mclarnin also kod Ruby Goldstein in 1929... J, close, but no cigar...
This could fit several men, but a complete shot in the dark: In March '43 Curtis Sheppard became the only man to ko future champ/HOFer Joey Maxim... ... and 4 months later he came in as a late sub for Mose Brown, when he was outpointed by Lloyd Marshall.
B,Yes that could be correct also, but the famed event wa s as ref in the famous Robinson/Maxim bout in 1952 when Ruby Goldstein collapsed in the heat, and Ray Miller took his place as referee..In the 14th round Ray Robinson collapsed too from heat prostration...:good
Apologies Burt, but i always get them mixed up the wrong way. To tell the truth Burt im sure this was asked not long ago and i kinda remembered this being given as the answer although,as ive already said, i got the names around the wrong way, so i wasnt gonna claim any credit:good
A tricky one, Burt... not even after John mentioned all the fighters involved, did I think of it that way!
Can i kinda claim a moral victory over you bukkake, seeing as its probably the only one i'll ever get?
