Montell Griffin... Even considering how Roy lost, still two very impressive names to have on a resume.
Griffin fought well in the first Jones fight, most people forget this. Griffin was a damn good fighter in his prime.
He's unnoticed a bit considering the caliber of fighters he holds a win over... Even if Jones did get disqualified, Jones was obviously frusterated with Griffin.
Yes he beat both fighters, but of course the first Jones fights was very controversial, and the second Toney fight was a gift decision for him. Toney was never motivated when he was fighting at 175. Griffin was a very good opponent, but never a champion caliber fighter.
Yes, and at 160 & 168 he was dehydrated. And at cruiserweight and heavyweight he was overweight. The Toney fanboy excuses are too pathetic for words.
I didn't think he actually beat Toney. He got the decision in two fights, yeah. But I had Toney winning both.
