Only Primo Carnera could stop a young Mike Tyson

You have way too much free time on your hands, over 4000 posts in 14 months, get a job.

 

The absolute pinnacle of what I would hope to accomplish for Carnera, would be some sort of middle of the pack ranking among the lineal heavyweight champions.

If I accomplished more than that, I would join the voices arguing for restraint.

 

I know its only a joke thread (i hope !)but anyone who actually believed that Primo beats even a Danny Williams Tyson really needs to go see a doctor !!

 

I think you’re underselling Carnera here , Ferguson. The 38 year old Tyson that was KOed by Williams was already a totally shot fighter which was proven in his next and final career fight when he stopped by local bouncer, Kevin Mcbride. Don’t think Williams or Mcbride would have beaten Carnera.

 

Yeah I have to agree. I took a look at those last couple fights recently, It was shocking how much he had diminished.

 

See Tyson vs Sammy Scaff, no way even the worst Tyson would ever lose to the best Carnera. BTW if Carnera was so great then how come of all the champions who reigned in the 1930's, he is the only one that isn't in the IBHOF. It's because many of his fights were fixed and he was the most mob controlled fighter of all time, he just wasn't a legitimate fighter.

The thread wasn't about Carnera being better than Bowe at all. It asked who was better and as you know Carnera got a couple of handfuls of votes total while Bowe got a few handfuls over 100.

 

You insinuated the 80 page thread supported Canera being better than Bowe and hence you started this thread so no i really don't know what you meant LOL
