The Holmes fight of 1982, against Cobb, Tex took a brutal amount of punishment and Tex never went down, anybody ever see a fight when a guy went the distance wo going down or being stopped like Briggs did today, after taking so much punishment?
Back the **** off Tex, TB66! Briggs ain't fit to iron Tex's wolf shirt. If Briggs reinvents himself in anything as classy as "Blind Fury," I'll be first to apologise... Until then, we don't need to be reminded of that ****.
Briggs is an old school fighter, he can take a lot of punishment. Makes you wonder how Wilson stopped him.
The Briggs of 2010, against Tex of 1983, I'LL GO WITH SHANNON:deal.. As an actor i'll go with TEX:good Beer drinking hell raising Tex Cobb was a character...
Haven't you seen the Wilson-fight? Wilson caught Briggs by a flush left hook (if I remember correctly) in an exchange and Briggs hit the canvas like Audley against Sprott in their first meeting.
Briggs actually had an asthma attack during the fight, a fight he was easily winning up to that point.
Tex is great, but as a boxer he wasn't all that. I tried watching his "biggest" win over Ernie Shavers and was bored to tears. The guy was a great club fighter, a Chuck Wepner with a better chin.
he did indeed, the knockouts at 1:10 of this vid for anyone who wants to see it [ame]http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=RKduOqSmeBY[/ame]
