There are two ways as far as I know Floyd could be clocked, and clocked clean.

Now, let it be known that this is MY OPINION. And I am NOT making this thread implying that I can do this to Floyd and beat him if I had the chance to fight him (since I know how you guys are on this forum). And last but not least, keep the newbie comments to yourselves, I've been reading and visiting this chat forum for years but never registered. Anyway, read on.

1-Counter when he goes to the body: Floyd has the tendancy to go to the body most of the time with a straight left and leave his defense open for that split second. Unfortunatly, no one capitalizes on that, which is weird since he's always doing that. One person that did manage to capitalize on that one time was Zab Judah. I believe it was the first or second round, where Floyd attempted to shoot a stright left to the body of Zab and Zab countered beautifully with a right hook that made Floyd's glove touch the canvas. It SHOULD have been ruled a knockdown but it wasn't. Ofcourse you would have to be fast enough to catch Floyd when he goes to the body. (Pac or Mosley can do this, especially Pac with his southpaw stance and with his VERY sneaky right hook).

2-Throw the OVER-right hand: Floyd has that shoulder-role defense quite mastered indeed, but it is not fully impossible to get thru. When Floyd is at his shoulder-role, he hardly ever gets hit, and that's because his opponents throw straight or wide punches at him repeatedly. The only possible punch in MY OPINION that would work against that defense is the over-right hand. Instead of throwing the right hand straight, throwing it in an 'over the top' motion can catch Floyd in the face instead of hitting his shoulder. Only one boxer who I know that throws over-hand rights effectively is Shane Mosley. Mosley can, and SHOULD do this while Floyd goes to the body, or when he's at his defense WHILE applying some pressure, and NOT boxing with Floyd.

I think shane will be most successful when he lets mayweather be offensive, he will never catch floyd while floyd is countering and moving.

Actually with Floyd you need to have about 4 different plans to beat him as he adapts rather quickly.

Good that someone else noticed this...I also want to note that, surprisingly, even Hatton caught Floyd when Floyd tried to do this in the first round. Just before the famous 'trip' moment that sent Floyd reeling, Floyd tries to go to the body and Hatton catches him and makes him stagger very slightly. Always find it curious that no one ever notes this...I guess it got utterly overshadowed by what happened next in the fight.

Wasn't the Zab KD when Floyd threw a right to the body?

He sure does adapts well, but he still throws the same body punch nonetheless

Im not sure the overhand right would work IMO, PBF would exploit the openness and connect with a counter.

I think what might work is just to keep punching (kinda like Pac did to Clottey although im not stupid enough to compare the two). If pac fights him, he has to throw more punches then he had ever thown, hitting him on the arm, shoulder, ribs etc.

Im gonna play LukeO and say "it's roll"

Anyway indeed Floyd does have flaws in his boxing that always make me say if some one ever catches him doing that ****, it isnt going to be pretty? However, me being a couch cornerman/trainer, has to sit back in the recliner and say well maybe they dont see what we see because they are H2H and by the time they realize 'he just executed one of his flaws' he is gone,

I forgot which round was it, that Castillo threw a over right hand at Floyd that connected beautifully on Floyd in their first fight, it was in the later rounds..
