This is where wilder and his team are so stupid it's unreal. He needs a promoter ASAP and not three managers which he has. Wilder would easily k.o whyte and if he does it quicker than Aj then again the public demand and his performance against whyte should give him more power in negotiations.....plus his biggest payday just for the the whyte fight.

Plus if he is thinking Joshua next then Hearn and team will try get it over in the uk in the summer in a stadium. Fight whyte in the summer and Joshua late 2018 in the states.

There is no way Wilder's "team" can outbid Hearn, so much more money to be made in the UK. It's actually crazy to even think about that fight in the US where it wouldn't be near as big.

I actually agree with you that Whyte gets KO'd but your above comment is ridiculous. He's the number one rated contender in the organisation that calls Wilder world champion. Of course he owes him a shot.

Otherwise let's scrap the rankings and mandatories altogether and let Deontay just fight whoever he wants. Oh wait...

I think the fight is 65-35 in favor of Wilder, I reckon it would be very similar to the Ortiz fight.

Ortiz, a Wilder scalp, would dismantle Whyte by late rounds.

    Unifications trump mandos

He wants to unify with AJ not fight Whyte

I dont think Whyte beats Wilder, Wilder knocks him out cold. But he has took 1 serious challenge in his 40 fights does he really need to take any more before his do or die match against AJ? His 17 managers didnt even want him to face Ortiz and now the Cuban nearly ended him and Whyte delivered a highlight reel KO last night there is no way this happens.

You said he owes Whytw nothing. I said that was silly as Whyte is his number 1 contender so of course he owes him something.

You're acting like this is an unranked guy calling him out.

And yep of course unifications should trump mandos. Wilder has only recently showed a serious interest in doing that though. He wanted no part of Wlad when he picked up Vitali's old belt by beating Stiverne.

To be fair I'd give more props to Wilder for beating Whyte than Ortiz.
Dude's 29 in his physical prime, not on any blood pressure pills and can pass a physical.

Wilder vs Whyte is close to 50/50 in my book.

Wilder can't box, and Whyte is 38-41 like Ortiz was.

I don't mind this fight because I suspect Joshua will continue to duck Wilder, which will make Wilder vs Joshua an even bigger fight, so why not.

Whyte has earned it, but don't get it twisted. Whyte won't land a single left hook on Wilder before getting knocked out.

Seems pretty simple. If AJ beats Parker and then agrees terms with Wilder for a unification then great.

If they can't agree terms fairly soon then Wilder should have to fulfil his mandatory requirements and face Whyte.

I think Wilder needs to be careful with his posturing though. Him and AJ are on a collision course as things stand, but a spanner could easily be thrown into the works. Tyson Fury's return being a case in point.

This is crazy. Have you not seen Ortiz box? Ortiz is 39, yes, but he has the most skill at heavyweight. He is what you expect from a top cuban boxer. He can fight cuban style both backwards and forwards.

White doesn't have nearly the same skill, precision. It's just not the same. Wilder will beat Whyte in a few rounds. It won't be competitive at all.

    Ortiz was outboxing Wilder.
