Wilder and Joshua haven’t started negotiations so who are you talking about that he couldn’t negotiate a fight with?
I still cant get my head around why people actually want to see this BEFORE AJ v Wilder. I can understand why Hearn/Sky would want to but as fns why are people pushing this bull**** agenda? Wilder fought 3 weeks ago AJ is fighting this week. Perfect timing for a summer showdown
What about Joshua Wilder if he beats Parker? Wilder doesn’t have to fight Whyte no matter how much you try to sugar coat things-no offense. And since it’s Hearn who Wilder sees as part of the Joshua road block, I’ll leave that up to Wilder. It’s one thing if Whyte is the mandatory but it’s another to say that Wilder should fight Whyte for ANY amount of money. And Wilder being granted any voluntary defense for any reason from a failed drug test to whatever is his choice.
Joshua Parker hasn’t even happened yet and Joshua’s fanatics are saying that Wilder should take the Whyte right lmao.
No he doesn't HAVE to fight Whyte. I agree. My point is, for good money why the hell not? I can't see a good reason to turn down a good pay-day against a man he should beat. I've read he's already been offered $3m and that offer has been increased since, according to Hearn. So let's make a leap of faith and assume this is factual and assume the offer is in the region of $4m. Knock him out, build the AJ fight even more and cash the cheque. Wilder needs to have more faith in his ability....
To earn some good money? And to do what he does for a living... box. Beat Whyte and his negotiating position with Joshua is strengthened, his likely earning potential increased. Unless he's putting all his eggs in one basket, of course. And that would make avoiding Whyte a tactical (not sporting) duck. Fair enough, I guess if negotiating a fight with Joshua represents his entire career objective.
I'm from the UK and everyone I know sees that Whyte is fringe world level at best. We all know he get's badly KO'd by Wilder in a completely one sided fight. It's not UK fans saying otherwise, it's Sky pundits, Matchroom staff, and Matchroom affiliated fighters/trainers.
Let’s see if Wilder and Joshua (if Jishua wins) can negotiate a fight first before all of this other talk.
Listen clown. When Wilder does his faceplant just like Browne, I'll be laughing my ass off. This fraud can KO a bunch of tomato cans, or beat up on overrated and dehydrated contenders like Stiverne or old men who suffer from high blood pressure like Grandpa Ortiz, but when a REAL prime contender like Whyte whacks that glass jaw, Wilder's taking a canvas nap!
Whyte would be a very clear underdog against Wilder. After all Helenius had him hurt two fights ago, surely Wilder KOs him. That being said, this is heavyweight boxing and anything can happen. Wilder is a little vulnerable due to poor technique and not the best chin, and Whyte has some power, so there is a bit of a chance for an upset. But that's all IMHO.
Realistically, as soon as Wilder agreed to fight Whyte, Whyte would become a bum to his detractors. If it could happen to Ortiz, a much better fighter, it would certainly happen to Whyte.
