    Nowadays a successful amateur who wins gold at the olympics can make quite a few good bucks in Russia.
    A couple of months ago I read on a russian website that a group of rich Russian businessmen would reward every fighter of the Russian national squard who wins gold in China with one million dollar.I am still not sure whether that offer was serious or not,but I have no doubt that a medal winner wont have to worry about his daily needs anymore.

    Golovkin is scheduled to face Ian Gardner in his 11th pro fight. Tough matchmaking!

    Well,Gardner is a known name,but he has a damn awkward style.I dont think that Golovkin vs Gardener will be really fun to watch.

    I'd be quite surprised if that were the case, given ZDF's infamous habit of showing full length women fights instead.
    Since there's one of those on the card and Jürgen Brähmer is also making his debut at light heavy it is very likely that there won't even be a short highlight reel of Golovkin's fight.

    Maybe I should post a note on his website asking that he has some of his fights filmed and put on youtube...:think

    EDIT: I did; also included a link to this thread. Said he could come and have a chat in Russian/German/English.
