This is where you show your true colors LOL Tony kicked Pinky Cotto's ass LEGITIMATELY made him kneel in submission He would have repeated but that NY Doc saved Pinky from quitting AGAIN You guys that support the cowardly Cotto Mayweather & Canelo keep harping on the BS loaded gloves theme. The real reason for that is you know your idols were scared stiff of Margarito & you use this to try to cover up their cowardice. Margarito had to go & none of them fancied fighting him so he got railroaded. All Tony did was SWEAT!!!!!!!!!!!
The point is not if he would have beaten him, he most likely would have, hindsight is 20/20, that wasn't the opinion at the time though, Bute was seen as dangerous. Now I don't personally know if he did duck him, he did throw in a few strange reasons for not wanting to fight him like "he needs to earn his shot", I mean really? But he probably wanted for Bute to solidify himself before a bigger fight. Or perhaps he felt it was unfair that he instantly gets a shot at the winner of S6 without having fought in it or facing any of the guys. Probably a more logical conclusion so that's fair.
Tommy Morrison should have went strait to Lennox Lewis instead he fought unknown Michael Bentt and lost the 8 million he would have got.
Carl Froch should have fought GGG at 168 straight after the Groves fight. Good chance he would have won.
You missed the point. The point is they detected the "strange" wraps prior to the Mosley fight, and then Mosley gave him such a tremendous beating that Margarito was almost a former-boxer when the fight ended. After that he still fought Pacquiao, receiving another big beating, and the he was ready to be picked by Cotto. That's the story.
Valuev should have taken the unification fight with V.Klitschko. In all fairness, he indicated he DID want to, but his promoters DK and Sauerland wouldn't have it. Instead they made him give his belt to Haye and retire for peanuts.
They did, and he didn't want it. https://www.rds.ca/grand-club/bille...nification-avec-lucian-bute-ibf-wbo-1.1209976 (the english article is below the french on)
fair enough in that case, I can't put any blame on Bute. If Bute had beaten froch i would have been calling for Ward to fight him or it would officially be a dyck. Unfortunately for Bute he lost inn the first step up fight at world level he took.
I respectfully disagree. Bute was really just a guy seen as someone with a belt who I already knew wasn't anything special others bought into hype and overrated him but I didn't and was proven right. Ward didn't need Bute, Bute needed him. Bute does nothing for his resume.
