Looks like Oosthuiezen was pulled from the card and dropped by his promoter over, according to his promoter, discipline and behavior issues.

Alvarez should stay on the card, the silver title is on the line and his team have 12 days to find a replacement, I wouldn't be surprised if Campillo or Miranda (Again) would step in on short notice.

That will be a mediocre semi-final.

What the hell has happened to Oosthuizen? Not too long ago he was a real prospect with a fan friendly style. Seems like he has been on a steady decline since his solid win against Marcus Johnson.

Despite being very lucky to get a draw against Gonzales, he is still unbeaten and if he was in fighting shape against Alvarez he would have been in with a good chance to make some waves at LHW.

Hope he gets his act together, it wil be a shame if he falls off the rails.

The Gonzalez fight, which was supposed to be his breakthrough performance, only served to expose him as not yet being ready for primetime.
The kid's got talent and he'll still have decisive physical advantages over most top light heavies, but I think a move to Cruiser would be disastrous. Size and talent aside, he's still pretty basic as a fighter and I believe his stock will drop precipitously if he starts fighting people his own size. He must hire a nutrionist ASAP, get disciplined and make it happen at 175:bbb.

I think Alvarez, even if I don't see for him a bright future against the top LHW, would have won against Oosthuizen. Alvarez doesn't hit hard enough to get the respect of the best fighters but he is slick enough to get rid of Oosthuizen, who has not improved at all these last years. It seems the guy is not dedicated to boxing. Not the first one...
