PLEASE! You're only embarassing yourself. The cheap price tags aren't fooling anyone, there's no way you're selling enough of these to make it worthwhile. I know you're trying to build a profitable name but you're going about it all wrong. If you have the dosh to stage a PPV, there's got to be some better cards you can scrape together, you're not a terrible stable.

Yeah but they have to pay the venue, and all the third-parties involved with arranging and broadcasting the event, and the fighters...and I'm sure even though he's on the undercard Arce's salary demands have to be a lot steeper than the average $20 undercard fighter. They can't be making a ton of profit. I wouldn't be surprised if they were hedging their bets on JCC Jr. becoming a superstar and paying off for them later, but taking a hit or barely breaking even in the meantime.

And I hope you're not serious, six of these would come out to $120 worth of Chavez Junior PPV with pisspoor production and guys like Arce and Concepcion being fed cans! :patsch

They're not doing it to lose money. Chavez Jr. has a huge following already. Just wait until they put him in there against a name opponent. He could do 250,000-500,000 buys depending on the opponent. He's actually not that bad either. Of course, I watch the fights on YouTube after the fact.

It's likely regional fans, all clustered in one geographic area, or pockets here and there with strong Mexican fanbases. And even they will grow unwilling to part with their money so often unless he brings a little more excitement to his own fights or they become padded with better preliminaries. I don't see those sale numbers as being sustainable at the current rate.

And if it's $35 that's just absolutely unforgivable for JCC Jr vs. ANYBODY, no matter WHAT the undercard. $20 was bad enough...

Like I said before, I actually don't mind watching JC Jr. Now six cards a year against nobody is ridiculous, but I have to think they are going to step up his competition this year. What about the Gomez's-Chavez's rumors? Would you pay to see that?

JCC Jr. should really step up. He can't rely on his last name Chavez forever. I wouldn't put the blame on Top Rank alone, Arum is the one calling the shots but Jr. should at least ask for a live opponent, it will be for his own good.

Hopefully, it will be a Showtime or HBO fight. They've definitely had worse fights than that. Sad, isn't it, that there aren't any good free fights on tv anymore. Honestly, I think that is a big part of why boxing doesn't get the exposure it deserves. I just don't know if anyone is ever going to do anything about it.

JCC Jr. should be headlining FnF cards with the cans he's been facing...

..these PPV are a joke, but it's obvious enough latinos are forking out the cash to keep them going..

I wish HBO would bring back Boxeo De Oro, I don't speak spanish, but it was nice to see hispanic centric boxing with some good production and good names.. I don't get telefutura or that other spanish channel that shows fights.

You're missing out, those channels put on cards that occasionally rival or surpass some VS and ESPN cards.

And that's the level that Mr. Metaphyte belongs on until his balls drop.

Arum knows wut he's doing he aint take'n no loses in put'n jccjr as a headliner. And if u dont like it dont buy it is as simple as that! As for me i like jccjr but im not buying his fights untill he starts fighting for belts, but I'm not going to try to knock his and arums hustle neither.

Well I am - it's **** like this that turns people off boxing. Say a casual fan who's heard of his old man pays thirty five bucks for one of Julio's Top Rank PPV's. They inevitably get a steaming pile of boring, and say "this is the best the sport of boxing can provide right now? this is a Pay-Per-View event??" (not realizing that Top Rank's shows are the redheaded stepchild of the sport) and another ones bites the dust.
