The rumours are that Opetaia absolutely butcher Fury and dropped him twice in 5 rounds and they kicked him out.
Opetaia is the closest you can get to Usyk skills/styles. And the orthodox sparring excuses is just silly. Opetaia leaving the camp after just 5 rounds just tells it's story of it's own.

As i said it before they even call Opetaia is that this young lion is an absolutely beast. And sparring this lions will result in a bad beating.

Pray for the people that still believe that Fury will KO Usyk. :D

BTW i was on a forum vacation, but couldn't pass on this news. :D

Apparently denying he floored Fury but obviously his juice was too hot for the rotund Morecambe traveller.

I think the real reason is that Opetaia just wants to prepare for Briedis rematch and sparring with Fury does nothing for him to prepare for that fight. Completely different sizes and styles.

And Briedis isn't the guy you can take lightly, even at 39 and with a lot of ring rust

What does "lack of orthodox sparring" mean?

Does it mean Fury hurt Opetaia during sparring more than necessary?

It means all the guys in Fury's camp are lefties, Fury is the only orthodox fighter Opetaia could spar with. And Opetia's next opponent is orthodox. He needs to spar with 6'1" orthodox fighters to be ready for Briedis, not with 6'9" guy with different style

This is just more conjecture and not really thread worthy. Opetaia has a very hard fight next in Briedis and sparring a 6’9 heavyweight may not be the best preparation.

Probably more likely the opposite... Tried too hard, caused too many problems and got annoyed at being told to chill?

Pretty meaningless - Opetaia is an A-list fighter in his own right, he could have any number of reasons for leaving.

Yeah, nobody should give credit to Usyk for beating fraud Fury.

So why was he there? All we know is he sparred five rounds and exited the country. Seems a lot of wasted time and effort which I assume Fury paid for.

I thought this much before I even knew they had sparred was surprised Opetaia didn't want his own camp of fighters in.

He was signed on to help Fury before the Briedis fight was finalised.

It makes perfect sense for Opetaia to concentrate on his own fight now.

Why even show up for a few hours if that's the case? Surely you cancel instead of being on a plane for 48 hours which he did.

Could it be that Opetaia is a world champion with a big fight of his own coming up which means he can't be Tyson's Fury's sparring partner.
