Opetaia beats Beterbiev and Bivol on the same night.

I don't like the hyperbole being used here, but I will say that he definitely beats both of them handily

 

Opetaia gets into too many slug fests

He has had his face/nose/jaw broken in the Breidis fights and Nykia was tagging him regularly too but lacked the correct range to apply optimum leverage

Beterbiev is probably too old now but the one from 2019-2022 would have given Jai a real fight and even the one we saw against Callum Smith (where his ring IQ, footwork and punch selection was excellent) would have been a very good challenge.

I think Turki wants to make Usyk v Beterbiev in 2025. Opetaia has to wait his turn and unify properly before moving up to HW.

BTW I don't think he is even a big CW.

 

I’d love to see Beterbiev vs opetaia.

opetaia looked almost done towards the end of that breidis rematch.

I agree that Beterbiev at his best would be a very real challenge indeed. He's too old now though, and although Opetaia's size, age and chin advantages would be too much.

 

People needs to stop with the mythical Betierbiev and beating cruiser. If it was so easy he would have done it already. He hasn't because it isn't that easy and being able to fight at the lower weight gives him a huge advantage. That is why he has never left light heavy.

Bivol would not be an easy fight for Opetaia

He takes over against Beterbiev and knocks him out
