Yes, he had a high work rate and threw really fast combos, the only fighht he was involved in that was boring was his bout v Hopkins, there was a lot of clinching and he found Hopkins defensive style hard to solve, he won a split decision v B-Hop.
Absolutely one of the best fighters in recent history. His speed and combinations were high quality although some people were talking about his "slapping". Remember what Calzaghe said after his fight with Roy Jones: - I basically did to Roy Jones what he had done to others.
good world class guy who defended the ibf title once, and achieved a record for minor title defences in his embryonic division. Not in the HoF category of say Barry McGuigan, but kinda backdoor entry below him. i'd rate dave boy ahead ph him too.
Some of my best boxing memories as a kid were watching the 'big' Calzaghe nights with my dad, always been one of my favourite fighters. The story of him and Enzo is incredible.
refute that he made 1 ibf defence, or u r the troll. refute that barry mcguigan has the better win, or u r the troll. your only case is my rating Dave McCauley ahead of joe, and as I made clear that is a personal rating, seeing Dave fought more real battles.
and yet what acutally is the issue is that I mentioned Barry and Dave. and stop creating so many alts, it makes u look bad.
You feel the need to post in EVERY Calzaghe thread with your garbage. You can't even let one thread pass by without spamming it. You troll attempts always fail anyway, you are literally completely wasting your time.
The most adaptable fighter the world has ever seen.. On form the best 168 fighter there's been. How do you beat him when he has a chin like that plus recuperative powers and an engine that just wont stop with great punch selection ?? The answer is you don't, not even Roid Jnr
I've heard that said countless times with him...The "GGG moving up to 175 to conquer like a great would/should" is the most pitiful troll attempt ever
