Actually, I've been getting that same feeling at times. I can't put a finger on it exactly but the thought has crossed my mind. I have a feeling Haye vs Bellow is going to be one of these type fights. And, even if an opponent doesn't quit, sometimes they look like they have no intention of winning the fight. They're just there to collect a paycheck.
To tell you the truth, I don't know about that injury. It states in boxrec on that fight that he suffered a broken orbital bone. But I think someone just wrote that there, because immediately after the fight in the post fight interview Brook claims he has a broken orbital bone. Really? Did he come up with that diagnosis himself and right there? Guys, I think I'm just too much old school. I saw Armando Muniz get up off the floor and cut and beaten, he never stopped trying to win that belt until the final bell rang. Guys like Walters and Brook just seem to have ready-made excuses on why they bailed out rather than just say it's a lack of cojones. And let's not forget if you watch the post-fight interview with Walters he accuses Max Kellerman of not getting him any fights and that he was stale. So, it's HBO's fault that he lost. Do you guys remember when Duran and Galindez were fighting non-titles all over the place to stay sharp and earn a payday? I guess Walters was too busy posing for ads of him carving up Lomachenko like a Thanksgiving Turkey to fight a non-title.
