They'll create a Ward-Kovalev esque agreement to fight in the future.
Gives time for the fight to simmer more, and Canelo agreeing to anything less than 80% of the purse is an awful business mistake - one that would've been made if they took the fight right now.
Canelo can make more money in the meantime before a high stakes fight.
Canelo will try to catch an old Golovkin. When Golovkin slows down from age, Canelo will fight.

    Canelo will eventually fight Golovkin.

So in 10 years of prize fighting Canelo has been able to craete a much much better legacy than GGGs despite being a kid for half that time.

In each of the last 3 fights with Manny Pacquiao, Juan Manuel Marquez got less than a 25% share. Why wouldn't Canelo Alvarez demand the same???????????????????

    Apparently so.
Canelo knew this before the Khan fight, which is why afterward he proclaimed in the ring, "forget about the belts, this is about pride!"

Canelo knew it would be in Golovkin's best interest to let the fight go to purse bid. Canelo thwarted that and just vacated.
Now if GGG wants to negotiate, its strictly on Canelo's terms.

Welcome to the bigtime GGG, high stakes boxing, and Canelo Alvarez is the dealer!

Pretty much, all these people claiming fear are just being simple. Canelo vs Golovkin is a big fight and Canelo wants to maximize his earnings from it. He was dictated to by Floyd and hasn't been dictated to since. This is all business.

  7. You silly **** ofcourse its fear he is scared everyone can see it

He would of took the fight if he was not scared he knows he will get KTFO

Golovkin didn't accept the fight either, is he scared? He wanted others at 168 but not Ward, is he scared? Or was that just business? Fact is, Canelo/Golovkin didn't accept a fight with Golovkin/Ward because they don't like the terms. If the fight were at 155 with Canelo's preferred split, he'd agree. If the fight were at 160 with Golovkin's preferred split, he'd agree.

People always thinks it boils down to strictly fear, and I'm not saying he's afraid or isn't, because I think he'd still fight if he were scared.

Except help him complete his immediate and most important career goals. Owning all the titles and breaking bhops record, icing on the cake is ko'ing 30+ opponents which is where he's heading.

Also both jacobs, bsj and especially cej will ALL be big $$$ and legacy fights. I see only cej putting up any real fight. Jacobs will for a while but he'll get caught and taken out mid fight.

Cej will be a problem for 9,10 rounds. Could be a real problem that makes a great fight for us fans

There's literally 2 years left max for ggg at mw. After 2.5/3 years ggg will be setting up title fights at lhw, mark my words

Fat Dan said the split is "usually" 55/45. Golovkin would definitely take 70/30.

What hhg/ward terms are you trying to manufacture ? It's been proven by all parties that no negotiations had ever even begun between ggg and ward. All we had was ward claiming he'd fight at 168 after _insert # of tuneups, while ggg's side claimed any fight with ward would have to be evenly split. Nothing went further than that.

Canelo v ggg was the champ and his mandatory that also was the interim champ. There isn't a single thing similar in any way between these 2 hypothetical fights.

Canelo is still the same beast he was last week to me. I believe he simply wanted a fight or 2 at 158/160 before jumping in with ggg.

Problem i see now, canelo doesn't have anything ggg wants. That title is the only reason these 2 had been linked for a while.

Now canelo could be high risk no reward, idk what happens in the last couple years ggg has completing history... I'd love bjs to back up his mouth and jump in vs ggg. Not sure i see that happening next.

Maybe jacobs, bjs (either order with those 2) then a huge fight with cej before conquering the higher weights. Where does canelo fit, if ggg neede an extra mw fight just for history purposes then maybe canelo

IBF was just defended, and they will not ask him to fight Johnson for 16 months, while forcing Johnson to again, win an eliminator vs 2-5 to maintain his mandate.
