opinions about dawson again dropping a belt to avoid a mandotory

HBO took the Dawson-Tarver rematch so don't let the future of boxing in their hands.

 

Exactly. The first was a good fight and this one should be the same.

 

I watch Cloud fights. His style reminds me alot of Jeff Lacy he can crack but he can get hit easily and doesn't use the jab alot. Johnson mostly have his guards up when he pressure and that's the style more difficult then clouds style. Johnson is in his 40's but he's still a very good fighter and i think even at his age he could beat cloud.

 

Yep, Dawson would easily outbox Cloud all day and night (as you said). Until Johnson turns up old, I would also favor him to outbox Cloud. George would also out box Cloud.

 

I give Dawson much kudos for fighting the guy who gave him all sorts of trouble. I thought Dawson would never give Johnson a rematch. He even said after the fight that he wouldn't want a rematch. Maybe his wins over Tarver gave him more confidence in his chin and skills.

 

Cloud is not enough of a name regardless of his record. Boxing is a business to Dawson and he did the right thing. Cloud should fight on the undercard but it looks like he is not goin to.

More Champions should scrap their belts and fight real challengers, instead of bull**** mandatorys.

 

HBO wants Dawson/Johnson rematch, esp. since Johnson beat Dawson in the first fight.

Everyone has been calling for the Johnson rematch - it's the most important fight for Chad by a distance.
If Cloud fight, and beats, someone like Woods in the meantime then a fight with Dawson will actually mean something.
