Opinions from mates who know nothing about boxing

What people find annoying though is two-fight a year fans who argue with people who follow the sport day in day out. Boxing brings so much of it compared with other sports. Nothing to do with having a bad attitude towards new fans

Yeah you are right mate........Ive learned to listen to what people say without butting in lately.

Hard as it is, they then listen to what you have to say cos you havnt paid them lip service.

I have no mates who know a thing about boxing, but there was a ****stani bloke at work who was the archetypal Khan fan, knew **** all about the sport

Was telling me at one point about how Khan would beat Malinga (Malignaggi) he must have had some knowledge though to know Sugarboys name, but was clearly a ****ing idiot

 

not really boxing related but me mate thought clubber lang was clubber clang

 

I hear "boxings dead these days, its all UFC" a lot.

I love watching the boxing with my bird - she comes out with some good stuff at times though.

Watching a Froch fight, she asked what his nickname was, I said "Cobra" fully expecting her to say "Why". Instead she starting going on for about how she can see that by the way he fights, head jerking about etc. etc.

Needless to say I was well impressed.

 

A mate of mine told me he thought Malignaggi was "featherfisted...?"...

 

When I was a kid playing 'Knockout Kings '98' I used to think 'TKO' meant 'Total Knock Out'. atsch

 

I thought this until much more recently than I'd like to admit.
