I noticed that JMM was holding the ropes after being tagged on the dying seconds of the 3rd round. Opinions please....

He wasn't in the same position his brother Rafa was. So 10 - 8.

Its refs lapses, a natural human error. Though its very clear in the slowmo that Marquez may have visited the canvass for the 2nd time without the help of the ropes.

Should it was rulled as KD, these controvesies might not happened.

its considered a KD if hes hanging helplessly (IE not holding on but stuck to the ropes) or any part other then his feet touches the floor. its a foul if he holds on and punches back

but it all amounts to what the ref calls, if he didnt see it didnt happen

Look at the evidence above!! Imagine without those rope, look at Marquez' positioning and the wobbled legs...

Heavens knows that round should be 10-7!

its a knockdown definitely because JMM needed the ropes to stay on his feet... if any part of your body other than the sole of your foot touches the canvas its a knockdown and if the ropes stop you from going to the canvas its a knockdown

the ref made a bad call but luckily it didn't change the decision otherwise it would have been a very bad call
